When an opportunity comes into your reach, why not take it? Through the Best Buddies program many opportunities are open to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
With the help of their Peer Buddies they are able to take advantage of once and a lifetime opportunities. When our program manager, Shantelle Carmichael, offered an opportunity to skate with two famous Boston Bruins players we could not turn it down!!
Buddies, Daniel Noonan, Garrett Hancock and Kim Chaput put on their skates and skated in the Boston Garden along with Wakefield High’s Chapter President Katie Guarino, Secretary Jamie Berg, Advisor Sue Cullen and Parent Kate Noonan.
